A Message From Outgoing ISSA President Matt Schenk

Dear MSN Readers:

Matt Schenk

Welcome to ISSA Show North America 2024! We’re thrilled to return to Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas for what promises to be a remarkable week of networking, learning, and experiencing the latest innovations in the cleaning and facility solutions industry.

As you prepare for a successful week in Las Vegas, I’d like to highlight several key offerings for Maintenance Sales News readers and the distribution community.

Longtime attendees will attest to the value of the show’s hallmark education opportunities, which kick off Monday, November 18, with a day filled with curated sessions for all segments of the industry. With the show’s All-Access Pass, distributors gain access to more than 30 sessions ranging from technology and innovation to sustainability, leadership, talent development, and business growth strategies all week long.

Additionally, the Distributor Networking Breakfast on Wednesday, November 20, at 8:30 a.m., is a must-add to your agenda. This session features author and master negotiator Mickey Bergman, who will empower you with practical techniques to communicate with confidence, negotiate like a pro to secure the best deals, and harness the power of emotional intelligence to build trust and foster strong relationships inside and outside your firm. Note that this event requires a separate registration fee of $50, so be sure to add it to your registration.

While you’re on the trade show floor meeting with suppliers and discovering the latest and greatest the industry has to offer, I encourage you to visit the ISSA Experience Hub (Booth 2147). Regardless of whether you’re a tenured member or new to ISSA, you should meet with the ISSA staff to learn about newly launched programs aimed at supporting your business:

  • Experience the latest in augmented reality (AR) training for cleaning professionals: INSPIRE, powered by ISSA. This powerful AR training solution can revolutionize your training programs and unlock new business opportunities with your customers.
  • Gain access to ISSA’s new cyber insurance and security software package, Elpha Secure. This program offers your firm a comprehensive solution to defend your enterprise from cyber attacks, which are becoming more frequent, costly, and scary for small and mid-sized businesses.

While you’re there, you can tap into additional membership benefits such as education and training, media, and advocacy. Plus, I recommend engaging with ISSA Charities and exploring the association’s new Healthcare Surfaces Institute division. You’ll be glad you did.

Here’s to making the most of all the great opportunities at ISSA Show North America 2024. Dive into the sessions, enhance your skills, and build some awesome industry connections. Enjoy the show and have a fantastic week in Las Vegas!
