AAAE Conference & Exposition To Present Full Schedule Of Opportunities

This year’s AAAE Conference & Exposition, set for June 8-10, 2025, at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta, GA, will include a full schedule of events. That includes:

  • Welcome Session “From Here to Anywhere: Campus to Career” — This event is scheduled from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 8. Kick off the academic track with an inspiring conversation featuring airport professionals at every stage of the career journey – from a recent graduate just getting started, to a mid-career pro, to a seasoned leader in the field. Panelists will share personal insights, lessons learned, and practical advice for navigating the transition from college to career in the aviation industry.
  • Student Mixer with the Mentors — Set for 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, get ready for one of the most exciting events of the academic track. Mixer with the Mentors is a chance to connect face-to-face with airport professionals from across the industry in a fast-paced, roundtable format. Every 15 minutes, attendees will rotate to a new table, gaining fresh insights, career advice, and maybe even a few future contacts along the way.
  • Student Mentor/Mentee Matchups — Taking place from 4:30 – 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, attendees will be matched with mentors – industry professionals who will be a go-to guide throughout the event. Mentors will offer advice, answer questions, share insights, and help attendees make the most of their time at the conference. Whether it’s navigating sessions, making introductions, or simply sharing their stories, these mentors are a resource who attendees can count on during the week, and potentially well beyond.
  • Student Career Exploration Fair — Scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 9, the fair will help attendees who are looking to land an internship, explore career paths, or simply build a professional network. The Student Career Exploration Fair is a gateway to connecting with airports, consultants, and industry partners. Attendees should bring copies of their résumés as on-the-spot résumé reviews will also be available to help attendees put their best foot forward.
  • Peer Perspectives: A Student-led Discussion and Q&A — Taking place from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
    on Monday, June 9, this session is just for students and is a candid, student-led space to connect over the real challenges and opportunities faced in today’s academic and professional landscape. From navigating coursework and chapter leadership to finding internships, exploring job prospects, and building a career in aviation, this open forum is designed to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.
  • Faculty Advisor Meet-up — Scheduled for 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 9, faculty advisors are invited to connect in a dedicated session designed just for them. This session offers a space to share best practices, common challenges, and creative strategies for supporting AAAE Student Chapters and to exchange ideas and insights on the broader experience of being a professor in today’s academic environment.
