During 2022 ISSA Show: Spartan Chemical Highlights Opportunities In Technology

Technology in cleaning was on full display at the Spartan Chemical booth during the 2022 ISSA Show North America, in Chicago, IL (Oct. 10-13). Included was the Spartan Sales Pro® app, which makes finding, and sharing, product information easier. The app’s features include:

  •  Mobile-Optimized — Works with Apple and Android devices;
  • Personalization — Users can add company logo, profile picture and custom part codes;
  • Recommendations — Allows quicker access to solution bundles for fast results; and,
  • Customized Proposals — For surfaces, problems and facilities.

“The newly released, third-generation Spartan Sales Pro® app is designed for distributors, helping them put together solution bundles involving their electronic devices, and then sending to customers,” Spartan Chemical, Vice President of Marketing and Advertising, Cali Sartor said, during the ISSA Show. “Spartan is constantly innovating and developing new products and services to help our distributors gain a competitive edge.

The Spartan Sales Pro® app helps distributor sales reps keep track of everything, when it comes to our products, allowing them to improve their presentations. That includes having available all pertinent information and photos for each product.”

After conducting extensive research that took into account distributor recommendations on how the app could improve their work lives, Spartan Chemical recently released the app for testing, according to Sartor.

“We spent a lot of time, and effort, using analytics and feedback to better optimize what our distributors said they needed from an app,” she said.

Spartan Chemical formulates and manufactures high quality products from its state-of-the-art facility in Maumee, OH, and sells both domestically and internationally through a select network of distribution. The building service contractor, education, food service and processing, health care, industrial, lodging/hospitality, and vehicle care markets use Spartan’s products and services.

Spartan Chemical Showcases Additional Technology at ISSA Show:

The CleanCheck® Learning Management System, which is a training program that helps cleaning staffs master proper procedures that promote a safe and clean environment. Featuring web-based video instruction in a bilingual learning environment, CleanCheck keeps those in charge of cleaning compliant with electronic tests, transcripts and reporting tools. The end result is trained workers who become safer, more efficient and achieve better results.

“Spartan is in the process of making CleanCheck available in Canada, and will soon include French  translations,” Sartor said.

Spartan’s cloud-based CompuClean® Cleaning Management Software, provides an integrated reporting system to improve the workloading, quality assurance, inventory management and documentation of a facility’s cleaning operations. With the new CompuClean Mobile App, it’s now easier to track and manage cleaning operations.

Sartor explained that both CleanCheck® and CompuClean® are designed to make it easier to manage cleaning operations — allowing people, such as building service contractors (BSC), to do more with less.

“That is especially important during today’s difficulties with labor shortages, impacting many cleaning departments,” Sartor said. “CleanCheck® is a web-based module that provides new employees with key information related to proper cleaning procedures. Participants are also tested to make sure they understand what is required, while cleaning a facility.

“Meanwhile, our CompuClean® Custodial Management Software helps improve administrative functions when it comes to cleaning. It greatly alleviates repetitive managerial tasks.”

Officials at Spartan Chemical are developing technology in other ways as well. That includes the introduction of a new laundry machine dispensing mechanism, designed for distributor end-use customers who are involved in commercial laundries.

The product can be monitored via an electronic device, providing such information as what laundry detergent is being used, and if more detergent is needed.

Sartor added Spartan Chemical also recently expanded its facility, in Maumee, with an 150,000-square-foot addition. The growth helps Spartan better maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), pertaining to the production of such U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulated products as hand sanitizers and antibacterial handwashes.
