Essendant has appointed David Boone as interim CEO.

“Boone, the former CEO of Staples Canada, has more than 30 years of business leadership experience, including numerous key management roles with a focus on the needs of customers and business partners,” according to a press release. “Boone succeeds Harry Dochelli, who has made the personal decision to retire as president and CEO of Essendant following a successful 12-year tenure with the company and more than three decades in the industry.”

Dochelli will stay on as an advisor to the Essendant leadership team until December 31 to ensure a smooth transition.

“Essendant is a distribution company that provides wholesale distribution and fulfillment services to resellers and manufacturers, helping them expand their paths to growth, improve their customer experiences, and optimize their supply chain to meet the demands of commerce today,” the release added.
