Essity Heralded By CDP For Supplier Engagement On Climate Change

Essity has been named a 2022 Supplier Engagement Leader by the global nonprofit environmental organization CDP.

The CDP’s designation reflects Essity’s efforts in 2022 to reduce emissions of what is referred to as Scope 3 (which includes purchased goods and services, purchased transportation, and waste from operations) in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This marks the fourth consecutive year Essity has achieved such designation from CDP.

“Our daily work with clear governance, targets, and reporting related to our Scope 3 emissions has delivered results, where the collaboration with our suppliers is key in our continued efforts to reduce climate impact. CDP’s recognition as Supplier Engagement Leader demonstrates that we are making important progress and thereby securing improvements for our customers, consumers, and our planet,” Essity Vice President Of Global Procurement Jessica Nordlinder said.

CDP has recognized Essity as a Supplier Engagement Leader for four consecutive years, which is a testament to Essity’s unwavering commitment to reducing its environmental impact and making strides towards sustainability. Additionally, this consistent recognition highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to work with its suppliers and collaborate on initiatives aimed at mitigating emissions across its value chain, further cementing Essity’s position as a leader in the global hygiene and health industry.

Essity is a global hygiene and health company that develops, produces, and sells personal care, consumer tissue, and professional hygiene products and solutions. For more information, visit www.essity.com.
