Gordon Brush Acquires Michigan Brush And Dorden & Company
Gordon Brush Mfg. Co., Inc., recently announced it has acquired the assets of Michigan Brush Manufacturing Company and Dorden & Company, Inc., both located in Detroit, MI. According to a press release, all of Michigan Brush and Dorden’s manufacturing and operations will be moved to Gordon Brush’s 183,000-square-foot facility in the City of Industry, CA.
Since the early 1900s Michigan Brush and Dorden have specialized in manufacturing an array of styles and types of custom brushes for the automotive, paint, industrial, and electronics industries.
“It’s time for me to step aside so that the company can continue to grow,” Michigan Brush and Dorden CEO Bruce Gale said. “We felt that Gordon Brush was the best fit to take Michigan Brush and Dorden to the next level, to continue our family tradition of individualized customer service, and to best manufacture our American-made line of brushes.”
Gordon Brush President Ken Rakusin added: “Michigan Brush and Dorden will add to our arsenal of companies: Marx Brush, Milwaukee Dustless Brush, JEK, Redtree Industries, Brush Supply, StaticFaction, J. B. Ward, Kirschner Brush, Easy Reach Supply, Spectrum Paint Applicators, Parker Brush, and Justman Brush. The Michigan Brush and Dorden acquisitions dramatically enhance our scale, product offerings, and geographic reach — creating new synergies that better position us for future growth and investment in new and existing markets. As the demand for American-made products increases, we are proud to be at the forefront of that movement.”
