ISSA Show North America is scheduled for November 13-16, 2023, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Las Vegas, NV. Doc Hendley – Wine To Water

As founder and international president of Wine to Water, Doc Hendley has successfully cultivated a non-profit organization that serves in communities to provide clean water for people in need around the world. He dreamed up the concept of Wine to Water while bartending and playing music in nightclubs around Raleigh, NC. He’ll share his inspiring story that proves anyone, even a tattooed keg-tapper, can cure what ails the world. A book signing opportunity will take place onsite during the Spotlight.

ISSA Hygieia Network Awards Reception

ISSA Hygieia Network’s awards reception will feature networking with industry leaders and Hygieia’s annual recognition awards, including Rising Star of the Year, Member of the Year, and Company of the Year. Three new awards have been added to the gala this year: Ally of the Year, International Member of the Year, and Mentor of the Year. With more than 900 attendees last year, it is sure to be one of the most well-attended and impactful events at ISSA Show North America 2023. This event is included with Expo Hall and All-Access passes.

ISSA Show Innovation Program & Awards

The ISSA Show North America Innovation Award Program recognizes advancements in the professional cleaning industry that make an impact in the commercial, institutional, and residential cleaning community. In its 14th year, exhibitors take to the stage to unveil their most innovative products or services in front of the global cleaning industry that address key challenges industry professionals are trying to solve in their daily operations.

Each year ISSA receives 40 to 50 product entries for the ISSA Show Innovation Award Program that promote the latest technologies poised to transform the professional cleaning industry and shape the world. The list of current Innovation participants and products can be found on the ISSA website until December 2023. Those interested in voting are asked to view the candidates and vote for their choices of the most innovative products in the industry this year.

Online voting ends November 13 at 5 p.m. Central Time. Distributors, Wholesalers, Manufacturer Reps, Building Service Contractors, Residential Cleaners, and In-House Service Providers can vote for the products which they find have made a significant impact in the professional cleaning industry. Individuals may submit up to three (3) product votes. Manufacturers and program participants are not eligible to vote. Voters are asked to make their decisions based on products being impactful, practical, sustainable, providing a competitive advantage and/or originality.

Participating companies are eligible to win the following awards:

• Environment & Sustainability Award and Honorees;
• Distributor/Wholesaler Choice Award;

ISSA Charities Awards 2023-2024 Scholarships

ISSA Scholars, a signature ISSA Charities program — the charitable arm of ISSA — has announced the recipients of the ISSA Scholars 2023-2024 Scholarship Awards. The generous contributions of individuals and ISSA member companies provided 49 scholarships to new and continuing college students totaling $142,400 in financial aid.

“We had another exciting year with a competitive applicant pool, and are so excited to celebrate these amazing graduates,” ISSA Charities Director of Development Sandy Wolfrum said. “Thank you so much to each of our donors and member companies who helped make these scholarships possible. Without your support, we could not introduce our vast industry to the next generation of professionals.”

ISSA Scholars provides financial aid to help students achieve their dreams of higher education. Since 1988, the organization has awarded nearly $4 million in financial aid to over 1,000 ISSA member company employees and their immediate family members. Scholarships relieve the burden of tuition for college and university students and introduce new professionals to career opportunities in the cleaning industry.

Students entering or continuing studies at fully accredited four-year colleges and universities are eligible to apply for annual scholarships. An independent committee selects scholarship winners based on merit, individual accomplishments, and evidence of leadership.
