Sodexo has announced the appointment of David Woodbury into his new role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Sodexo U.S, reporting to North America CEO Sarosh Mistry.

“To further ignite organic growth, Sodexo is forming one combined U.S. commercial team. This new organization will allow for quicker decision making, bolder investments, greater talent development, and career progression,” according to a press release. “This stronger, unified team will ensure a client-centric culture with a focus on a simplified buying experience.”

“With our best-ever sales performances in recent years, we are building on this momentum and taking a bold next step in our commercial growth journey,” Mistry said. “I am confident David’s leadership and sales acumen will bring us exponential commercial success and growth in the coming years.”

Woodbury added: “We have made significant strides in our commercial performance over the past two years. Our mission with this new structure is to become best-in-class and grow faster and more profitably than any other competitor in the U.S. market. I believe this ambition is possible based on our sales performance in certain divisions in recent years. My mission is now to scale that exceptional performance to reflect our entire U.S. team, magnifying Sodexo as the leader in valued experiences across the entire business.”

Woodbury joined Sodexo more than 20 years ago. He has held various operations and commercial leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility in multiple divisions.

“In 2013, he was promoted to Vice President, International Large Accounts in Corporate Services, where he led teams contracting more than $1Bn in revenue,” the release added. “He joined the Healthcare U.S. team in 2020 as Vice President National Accounts and was then promoted to Chief Sales Officer. Woodbury and his team have led the successful transformation of the Healthcare division’s commercial performance and under his leadership they have consistently exceeded their targets.”

With Woodbury’s move into the newly created role, Chelsea Neubauer has been promoted to Chief Sales Officer for Sodexo’s U.S. Healthcare and Seniors divisions.

Founded in 1966, Sodexo is a global provider of integrated food and facilities management services with more than 380,000 employees in 80 countries. For more information, visit sodexo.com.
