Spartan Chemical Company’s E.T. Swigart Scholarship Awarded

Spartan Chemical Company has announced that the ISSA Charities E.T. Swigart Scholarship for the 2024-25 year has been awarded to Brooke Plowman.

Plowman is a 2024 graduate of Plainfield Central High School, in Plainfield, IL. With the $3,000 scholarship, she is attending Illinois State University and planning to major in Psychology.

In high school, Plowman was an Illinois State Scholar and member of the National Honor Society with a GPA of 5.42 on a 5-point scale. Her volunteer activities included packing food for people in need, conducting fundraisers and events for Lurie Children’s Hospital, as well as participating in Key Club and Orchesis Dance Club, and serving as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. She balanced her academics and extracurricular activities with a part-time job at McDonald’s and will be paying for college on her own.
