Spartan Chemical Expands Food Processing Sanitation Team

Spartan Chemical Company has announced the promotion of Jim Miller to the role of corporate manager – food sanitation specialist, effective July 1, 2023, the result of Spartan Chemical’s growth in the food processing sanitation market as well as industry growth as a whole.

“For decades, Spartan Chemical has provided food processing facilities with solutions for their sanitation operation. Spartan’s food processing sanitation program helps processors protect their brand by eliminating foodborne pathogens, such as Listeria, through personnel hygiene, employee training, sanitation chemicals, standard operating procedure establishment and management, and dispensing and dilution control,” according to a press release.

“The food sanitation segment continues to be a primary focus for us,” John Swigart, president, Spartan Chemical, said.  “We are responding to the fast-paced growth in this vertical and adding additional resources.”

“Miller brings extensive industry knowledge to his role, having served as regional sales manager of the Chicago region with Spartan for the past 37 years. Jim’s new role will have him working with Spartan’s regional managers to develop new food processing opportunites for distributor partners,” the release added.

Family owned and operated since 1956, Spartan Chemical’s products include industrial cleaners, disinfectants, wipes, skin care, food processing, laundry care, warewash, floor care and vehicle wash products.
