Tennant Company has announced the launch of its latest outdoor sweeper, the Z50 Citadel™.

“The Z50 Citadel delivers exceptional cleaning results, high productivity, and reliable operations for large outdoor spaces, making it an ideal sweeper for industrial sites such as mining, manufacturing, and logistics, as well as municipal settings like urban centers and transportation hubs,” according to a press release. “The Z50 Citadel combines mechanical and vacuum sweeping technologies to tackle a wide range of debris applications, from fine dust and light litter to heavy, bulky debris.

“Its TwinLift Debris Management System (DMS) integrates a mechanical broom, high-powered airflow, and an industrial shredder to handle more debris and capture fine dust and particulates — two key factors in reducing downtime and increasing productivity for facility operators.”

The release added: “The Z50 Citadel is operator-friendly and designed to support smarter, more efficient cleaning with:

  • Simple, intuitive controls: Help minimize operator onboarding and start sweeping quickly with a 10” (25 cm) touchscreen and 1-Step™ sweeping controls.
  • Minimize downtime: Real-time onboard diagnostics allow operators to monitor machine health and service teams reduce repair-related downtime.
  • Precise, effective cleaning: Match cleaning capabilities to various surfaces and debris types with highly controllable side brushes, auxiliary cleaning features, and optional brush speed and pressure control.”

“For site managers, keeping their teams safe is always the top priority. The Z50 Citadel prioritizes operator safety with outstanding cab visibility, PerformanceViewTM cameras, and multiple emergency stop buttons, while air filtration certified to EUnited PM 2.5 and PM 10 4-Star standards helps protect the operating environment,” Dennis Collins, Product Portfolio Director at Tennant Company, said. “Staff can safely dump debris with features like a standard hopper lift alarm and an optional remote hopper control that lets them control hopper functions from outside the cabin — giving them the clear visibility they need to work safely and effectively.”
