Both winning students will receive a $300 general-use gift card, and their schools will each receive a $1,000 donation. Additionally, the winning school systems will receive up to 1,000 manual soap/sanitizer dispensers for their schools featuring each respective student’s winning design.
“We were very pleased with how all those in our community came together to support Aubrey and her dispenser design,” John Goodin, principal, Kearney Junior High, said. “We loved the detail in her design and it’s a great reminder that we can all help ‘stop the spread.’ Our students, teachers and staff were overjoyed to participate in this year’s SC Johnson Professional Happy Hands contest.”

Each design was evaluated for visual appeal, overall design, unique design elements and creativity. Five finalists in both grade level categories were selected by a judging panel and then went to a public vote from February 8 through 29.
“Each of our students truly enjoyed getting to vote for Nora and we couldn’t be prouder that she is the K-5 category winner,” Lisa Beckwith, principal, Richland Elementary, said. “We could all use a reminder that it is important to care for ourselves, others and the environment.”
